beyond_evo -- This is the main IC community. In here, you post threads, or scenes, whatever term you prefer, but they are third person action posts. In the subject or at the end of the entry, you can label them as open for anyone to tag, open to a specific person/group of people, or leave them as closed, making them a narrative. Things that don't go here: Logs, E-Mails AIM, OOC whackiness.
beyondevo_logs -- Here's the logging community. Logs of role-playing sessions on AIM, MU, E-Mail, whatever, go in here. They should all be formatted in some way so that anyone reading can get the gist of what's going on. You can format them pretty much anyway you want as long as those requirements are covered, but here's an example of one way you can format for example's sake:
Who: Scott and Jean
Where/When: The kitchen, backdated to yesterday afternoon.
What: Scott and Jean hang out and eat potatoes.
(A cut-tag goes here to prevent spamming)
Scott: Scott sat in his office, brooding, when he heard a knock at the door. Lifting his head, he said, "Come in."
Jean: Opening the door, Jean breezed into the office with a smile, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. "Hey honey."
E-mails are formatted as such:
From: "Jean Grey" <grey.jean@xaviers.edu>
To: "Scott Summers" <summers.scott@xaviers.edu>
Subject: Dinner?
Blah blah blah. if the message is long, you can use a lj-cut to prevent spamming people's friends lists.
The Brotherhood's formatting is: lastname.firstinitial@lib.edu -- for example, darkholme.r@lib.edu.
If your characters talk over AIM (you can make an IC screen name, if you want, or edit it later in the log), feel free to post a log. You don't have to do anything special, formatting wise, except bold the screen names so they're easier to distinguish. Things that don't go here: IC threads, OOC goofing off.beyondevo_ooc -- The OOC community. Post whatever out of character funstuff you have here, including hiatus notifications, introductions, etc.
beyond_npcs -- The journal for non-playbale characters, such as one-time use (Single Serving) characters with plot significance that appear in threads/e-mails. This is open for everyone's use, just let one of the mods know if you need a NPC. They will either play it for you or give you the password to the journal.
news_update -- If you have a news article you'd like posted, e-mail one of the mods, and they'll post it here. :)
