MANSION GROUNDS & PLACES/SECURITY
** Yes, we're fully aware these images aren't movie-verse representations of the school. This will have to do, however, so hush. ;) **

IMAGE THREE: DANGER ROOM
To the untrained eye, the Danger Room is a featureless room. To anyone who enters and engages its systems, the Danger Room is the ultimate training and battle simulator. Employing highly advanced technology, the room pits its opponents against an array of physical and holographic opponents that task the trainees' mastery over their mutant powers to their peak endurance.

IMAGE FOUR: SUB-LEVEL HALLWAY
In addition to the campus grounds, the institute also houses an impressive array of restricted access Sub-Levels, which include the X-Men's training and staging facilities, with resources including Cerebro, the War Room, and various research and development labs. Voice-activated hallway icons provide an illuminated pathway throughout the grounds; however, access is restricted to the Sub-Level facilities. All new students and faculty must inquire with Senior Faculty of the Professor before being granted access.

A FEW NOTES TO KEEP IN MIND
The school's security system is very tight. People who try and jump the gate will probably be shot/blasted/killed/badly wounded. The gates to the school are a far way off from the mansion proper, which also means that aside from being well-protected, anyone showing up at the gates that doesn't buzz in probably won't get noticed unless there are people out there checking the security panel, which is on a small table near the door, by the buzz-in speaker.

Inside the school, there are security cameras placed in the sub basement levels, the danger room, and around the school in general. They're not in the bathrooms or the living quarters, but there are usually two cameras to every hallway, one on each side. These don't pick up everything, but they're fairly decent. As of right now, the ones on the inside don't pick up sound -- but the ones on the gates outside do.

Xavier's school has gradually become open to the public. With the Mutant Registration Act now in place, it's become apparent that there are a good amount of mutants living in one place under the title of a "school for the gifted" -- which isn't a very good way to hide what's going on. Coupled with Jean and Xavier's activities in Congress, and the fact that Xavier's has an open-door, word of mouth policy, there are quite a few people who know what it's about. After all, if they were entirely secret, how would anyone (outside of an invite from Xavier) get there? People can't protest inside the gates as it's private property, and while they can protest outside the gates all they want, it's unlikely anyone will hear them.

SECURITY CHANGES AS OF 03/06
- All residents of the mansion will be supplied with a combination GPS tracker and homing beacon. These will be small and produced in several different forms—pins, necklaces, etc—and will be worn any time anyone goes off-campus. If something happens, you can activate the emergency beacon and we’ll be there faster. An alternate form of these can also be placed in a cell phone, for those who have been in-game long enough to remember us having done that and want to carry over for consistency. For instance- Matt’s is in his phone.

- If you’re going off-campus, tell a member of the faculty or full team. This is for your own safety, not any judgment on our part. If you do not tell one of us, at least be sure to take your locating device.

- The community cars in the garage are no longer available for random, free-for-all use. They are to be signed out at a sheet which will be made available in the garage, and they will be fitted with their own GPS tracking devices. Additionally, they will be fitted with two-way radios which operate on the same private frequencies as the team communicators.

- Full team members will be expected to keep their communicators within earshot at all times. Communicators will alert to the activation of an emergency beacon, as well as to a breach of the security perimeter. Juniors will be strongly encouraged to keep their communicators on hand, as well.

- Xaviers’ School, as of this announcement, will be considered a no-fly zone as pertaining to aircraft not belonging to the school. There will be no more unannounced helicopters on the front lawn. A waypoint off-campus will be established for residents requiring helicopter access, and a car set side for shuttling purposes. Any aircraft violating this and flying over the school will be removed forcibly, with the least damage done possible to the craft.

- All visitors to the school will be announced. There will be a new security grid installed, and residents and students of the school will be entered into its database by way of mutagenic signature and visual ID. Those not in the system run the risk of activating the passive aspect of the security grid by mistake, but announced visitors can be given temporary clearance.

- The faculty of Xavier’s no longer endorses participation in the Mutant Registration Act. Students and Residents are still free to chose whether or not to register, but it is no longer outright encouraged, and if you do, please do not list Xavier’s as your residence, even if it is.

The Security Grid

- Two modes: ‘Passive’ security level, which is to be on at all times, and ‘Aggressive’ security level, which must be manually activated by one of the senior X-Men in the control room.

- Sub-terranian guns set into the lawn which track by motion and can discriminate targets both on a visual and a mutagenic level. Passive security setting utilizes tazer guns to stun targets, while aggressive security setting utilizes combination of plasma, laser, and solid projectile guns.

- Heavier security camera spread, including cameras which are motion-sensitive, infrared-sensitive, and sonic-sensitive. On passive setting, cameras will send silent alerts to the control room upon perimeter breaching. During aggressive setting, cameras throw spotlights and track motion.

- Escape passageways to be reinforced, as well as the containing shell of the Danger Room. Secondary bunker to be dug into the cliffs by the cove at the edge of campus, accessible by both walking tunnels and high speed transports. Bunker must be large and well-provisioned enough to house the entire population of the mansion for at least a week.

- All external workers called in to dig and install these security measures must go through a memory sweep upon completion of the work, for the safety of the school. An alternate reason will be given for the funds provided for services.

Stables
- Room for 25 horses, currently housing 16; horses available to all, but students and residents must prove themselves capable of riding before being allowed on a horse, must inform the stablemaster before taking one out
